The “Composition
Writing: A Visual, Dramatic, and Creative Approach” Workshop is a one-session
workshop that aims to expose educators/students to a fun and engaging way of
composing a story.

Educators/Caregivers
of children in the above age group
Description
In this highly interactive, 3-hour workshop, participants will
be introduced to the story writing process through the use of visual aids, dramatic enactment, and creative
visualisation.
These processes not only inject fun and creativity into the
writing experience, but also offer students visual and kinaesthetic stimulation to motivate them to engage in
the writing process.
Participants, working in small groups, will compose a
story, under the trainer’s guidance:
· Part 1.
Story conception: Putting together a map of the story development
· Part 2.
Creative visualisation: Composing evocative descriptions of characters and
settings through re-enactment
· Part 3.
Dramatic elements: Injecting dialogue, movement, and pace
· Part 4.
Revision: Making the story shine
Each group will then present their story to the rest of the
class.

Note that organisers will be responsible for photocopying
handouts, as well as providing the venue and the AVA equipment necessary for
the training.
